Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 7, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the Target Cleaning Services website and any cleaning or related services provided by Target Cleaning Services (“Target Cleaning Services,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By requesting a quote, approving a proposal, scheduling services, or otherwise engaging Target Cleaning Services, the customer (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agrees to these Terms together with any written proposal, scope of work, service agreement, work order, or other document accepted by both parties.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a written agreement or proposal specifically issued for your property, the terms of that written agreement or proposal will govern to the extent of the conflict.
1. Commercial Cleaning Services
Target Cleaning Services provides commercial cleaning services for businesses, offices, commercial buildings, retail properties, medical and professional offices, warehouses, light-industrial facilities, condominium common areas, and other approved commercial properties.
We do not provide residential house-cleaning services unless expressly agreed to in writing.
The specific services provided at each property will be determined by the applicable proposal, scope of work, work order, or other written agreement.
Services not expressly included in an approved scope of work are not included.
2. Quotes and Proposals
Quotes are based on the information provided by the Customer, which may include property type, approximate size, condition, service frequency, operating schedule, access requirements, requested cleaning tasks, and other relevant information.
We may require a site walkthrough before issuing or finalizing a proposal.
Unless otherwise stated, a quote is not a binding commitment until it has been accepted by the Customer and confirmed by Target Cleaning Services.
Quotes may be revised if:
- the information originally provided was inaccurate or incomplete;
- the condition, size, layout, or use of the property differs materially from what was disclosed;
- additional cleaning tasks or areas are requested;
- access conditions or service schedules change; or
- circumstances arise that materially affect the time, labour, equipment, or supplies required to perform the work.
Any quotation validity period will be stated in the applicable proposal.
3. Scope of Work
The Customer is responsible for reviewing the proposed scope of work before approving service.
The approved scope may specify:
- areas to be cleaned;
- cleaning tasks;
- service frequencies;
- scheduled service times;
- exclusions;
- supply responsibilities;
- equipment requirements;
- access arrangements; and
- property-specific instructions.
Any work requested outside the approved scope may be subject to additional charges and may require written approval before being performed.
Target Cleaning Services is not responsible for tasks or areas that are not included in the agreed scope.
4. Scheduling
Cleaning services may be scheduled during business hours, after business hours, overnight, or at another agreed time depending on property requirements and service availability.
The Customer must provide reasonable access to the property during the agreed service period.
If our team cannot access the property because of locked doors, changed alarm codes, unavailable keys, security restrictions, denied entry, or other circumstances within the Customer’s control, the scheduled visit may be treated as a completed or chargeable service visit.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested schedule changes but cannot guarantee availability.
5. Property Access and Security
Where necessary, the Customer may provide keys, access cards, alarm information, door codes, parking instructions, security procedures, or other access credentials.
The Customer is responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate and current.
Target Cleaning Services will take reasonable measures to safeguard access information provided to us.
The Customer must notify us promptly of changes to access procedures, security systems, authorized contacts, or restricted areas.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer agrees to provide a reasonably safe working environment and to inform Target Cleaning Services of any known hazards or special conditions that may affect the performance of the services.
The Customer must disclose, where applicable:
- hazardous materials;
- restricted areas;
- dangerous equipment;
- active construction;
- wet or damaged flooring;
- electrical hazards;
- chemical hazards;
- biohazards;
- unusual access restrictions;
- workplace safety requirements; and
- property-specific policies that our personnel are required to follow.
The Customer is responsible for securing cash, valuables, confidential records, sensitive documents, medications, controlled substances, fragile property, and other items that should not be handled during routine cleaning.
7. Hazardous and Specialized Work
Unless expressly agreed to in writing, routine commercial cleaning does not include specialized or regulated services such as:
- hazardous-material remediation;
- asbestos remediation;
- mould remediation;
- biohazard cleanup;
- sharps handling;
- biomedical or regulated medical-waste removal;
- chemical-spill remediation;
- clinical sterilization;
- machinery or production-equipment cleaning;
- confined-space work; or
- other work requiring specialized certification, licensing, equipment, or procedures.
If an undisclosed hazardous condition is discovered, Target Cleaning Services may stop work in the affected area until the condition has been properly assessed or resolved.
8. Medical and Healthcare Offices
Cleaning services provided to medical, dental, healthcare, or similar professional offices are routine commercial facility-cleaning services unless a different service has been expressly agreed to in writing.
Routine cleaning does not constitute clinical sterilization, instrument processing, infection-control management, biomedical-waste handling, or a guarantee that pathogens, bacteria, viruses, or other contaminants will be eliminated.
Healthcare customers are responsible for identifying restricted areas, clinical procedures, approved products, regulated waste, and any special cleaning requirements before service begins.
9. Cleaning Products and Equipment
The applicable proposal may specify whether Target Cleaning Services or the Customer will provide cleaning products, equipment, consumables, liners, paper products, soap, or other supplies.
If the Customer requires particular products or prohibits certain products, those requirements must be communicated before service begins.
Target Cleaning Services is not responsible for damage resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information regarding sensitive surfaces, specialized finishes, manufacturer restrictions, or product incompatibilities that were not disclosed to us.
10. Floors, Carpets, Surfaces, and Existing Conditions
Cleaning results may vary depending on the age, condition, material, finish, staining, wear, previous maintenance, and installation of a surface.
We do not guarantee the removal of all stains, marks, odours, discolouration, damage, wear, or embedded contaminants.
Pre-existing damage may become more visible after cleaning and is not the responsibility of Target Cleaning Services.
The Customer should notify us before service of any known sensitive, damaged, unstable, specialty, or high-value surfaces.
11. Furniture, Equipment, and Personal Property
Unless expressly included in the scope of work, our personnel are not required to move heavy furniture, machinery, filing cabinets, merchandise, equipment, electronics, or other substantial items.
Cleaning around computers, files, personal belongings, merchandise, medical equipment, or sensitive workplace items may be limited to accessible areas.
Target Cleaning Services may decline to move or handle any object where doing so could create a safety risk or risk of property damage.
12. Changes to Service
The Customer may request changes to the cleaning scope, service frequency, schedule, or property areas.
Requested changes are subject to availability and may result in revised pricing.
Material changes should be confirmed in writing before the revised service begins.
Target Cleaning Services may also recommend changes where the existing scope is insufficient to meet the Customer’s stated requirements.
13. Recurring Services
Where recurring cleaning is provided, the agreed service frequency and pricing will be set out in the applicable proposal or service agreement.
Pricing may be adjusted upon reasonable notice where there are material changes in:
- labour costs;
- supply costs;
- property size;
- cleaning requirements;
- service frequency;
- operating conditions;
- access requirements; or
- applicable taxes or government charges.
Any specific contract term, renewal arrangement, or termination notice requirement will be stated in the applicable service agreement.
14. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellation and rescheduling requirements may be specified in the applicable proposal or service agreement.
For scheduled project-based or one-time work, Target Cleaning Services may charge a cancellation fee where insufficient notice is provided or where labour, equipment, supplies, or other resources have already been committed.
Any applicable cancellation fee or minimum notice period should be stated in the Customer’s proposal or service agreement.
15. Fees, Invoices, and Payment
The Customer agrees to pay all fees set out in the applicable proposal, invoice, or service agreement, together with applicable taxes.
Payment terms will be stated on the applicable invoice or agreement.
Additional work requested by the Customer and accepted by Target Cleaning Services may be invoiced separately.
Past-due accounts may be subject to reasonable collection costs and any late-payment charges expressly stated in the applicable agreement or invoice and permitted by law.
Target Cleaning Services may suspend services on overdue accounts after providing reasonable notice.
16. Taxes
All quoted prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
Applicable HST or other required taxes will be added to invoices.
17. Service Concerns
Customers should report cleaning concerns promptly so that they can be reviewed.
Where appropriate, Target Cleaning Services may inspect the affected area and determine whether corrective work is warranted under the agreed scope.
We must be given a reasonable opportunity to review a reported issue before the Customer engages another service provider and seeks reimbursement from Target Cleaning Services.
18. Damage Claims
Any suspected damage caused during cleaning should be reported to Target Cleaning Services as soon as reasonably possible after discovery.
We may request photographs, documentation, access to inspect the affected property, proof of value, or other reasonable information needed to investigate the claim.
Target Cleaning Services is not responsible for normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, inherent defects, improperly installed materials, unstable fixtures, or damage resulting from conditions outside our reasonable control.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Target Cleaning Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of revenue, loss of use, or business interruption arising from the services or use of the website.
Except where prohibited by law, Target Cleaning Services’ aggregate liability arising from a particular claim will not exceed the amount paid or payable by the Customer for the specific services giving rise to that claim.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, the Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Target Cleaning Services harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or reasonable costs resulting from:
- hazardous or unsafe conditions not disclosed to us;
- inaccurate instructions supplied by the Customer;
- the Customer’s breach of these Terms;
- the acts or omissions of the Customer or persons under the Customer’s control; or
- conditions at the property outside the reasonable control of Target Cleaning Services.
This section does not require the Customer to indemnify Target Cleaning Services for losses caused solely by our own negligence or unlawful conduct.
21. Employees and Subcontractors
Target Cleaning Services may use employees, contractors, subcontractors, or approved service partners to perform all or part of the services where appropriate.
Target Cleaning Services remains responsible for managing the work performed under its agreement with the Customer, subject to the applicable service agreement.
22. Non-Solicitation
Where permitted by applicable law and agreed in writing, Customers may be prohibited from directly hiring or soliciting personnel assigned by Target Cleaning Services during the service relationship and for a reasonable period afterward.
Any applicable non-solicitation provision or fee should be specifically stated in the Customer’s service agreement rather than relying solely on these website Terms.
23. Force Majeure
Target Cleaning Services will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events reasonably beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fires, floods, power outages, government orders, labour disruptions, transportation interruptions, building closures, emergencies, or other similar circumstances.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate scheduling changes caused by such events.
24. Website Information
Information on our website is provided for general informational purposes.
Descriptions of services do not guarantee that every listed service is available for every property or location.
Service availability, pricing, scope, scheduling, and requirements are determined through the quoting and approval process.
We may update or modify website content at any time without notice.
25. Quote Request Forms
Submitting an online quote request does not create a service contract.
A service relationship begins only after the applicable proposal, agreement, work order, or other authorization has been accepted or confirmed.
The Customer is responsible for providing accurate information when submitting a request.
26. Electronic Communications
By submitting a quote request, contacting us electronically, or providing your contact information in connection with a service inquiry, you consent to receiving communications reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, prepare a proposal, schedule services, administer your account, and provide customer service.
Marketing communications will be handled separately in accordance with applicable law and any consent requirements.
27. Privacy
Personal information collected through our website or in connection with our services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms.
28. Intellectual Property
The Target Cleaning Services name, logo, website design, text, graphics, photographs, and other website content are owned by or licensed to Target Cleaning Services unless otherwise stated.
Website content may not be reproduced, copied, distributed, or commercially used without prior written permission except where permitted by law.
29. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.
Target Cleaning Services is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or privacy practices of third-party websites.
30. Termination or Suspension of Service
Target Cleaning Services may suspend or terminate service where reasonably necessary, including where:
- invoices remain unpaid;
- the Customer materially breaches an agreement;
- property conditions are unsafe;
- required access is repeatedly unavailable;
- personnel are subjected to abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or unsafe conduct; or
- continuing the work would violate applicable law or safety requirements.
Where practical, reasonable notice will be provided.
The Customer’s termination rights will be governed by the applicable proposal or service agreement.
31. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from services provided by Target Cleaning Services will be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
Subject to any mandatory legal requirements, the parties agree that disputes will be brought before the courts located in Ontario.
32. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
33. No Waiver
A failure by Target Cleaning Services to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other right.
34. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated version will be posted on this website with a revised effective date.
Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.
